The Santa Ynez Valley Marriott Welcome Banner was in full view and we couldn't have planned a more perfect day! The weather was wonderful, the course was beautiful and we think most everyone had fun. We thought we would've seen more of our Platinum Sponsors Amerex Corporation and Building Knowledge (anyone with photos of these generous companies, please forward them to the NorCal FPO Office...Steve Hoffman - we know you were there and we just might have an item we're holding for ransom). Our Gold Sponsors Bay Alarm, Boldt, KDI Consultants, McCarthy, PCI Performance Contracting, Inc., Rudolph and Sletten and TNT Fireworks all had foursomes on the course! Silver Sponsor SafetiFirst, had their secret weapon on hand - Diana San Diego was a force to be reckoned with. Watch out next year for those flying marshmallows! Thanks to 3M Fire Protection Products everyone knew where to be and the time to be there; TNT Fireworks' logo decorated each Golf Cart and score card; Jorgensen Company sponsored the Driving Range where the golfers were able to get their pre-game on; Click2Enter, Inc. had specially made golf hole flags decorating the course; Air Management Control Association and Specified Technologies, Inc. sponsored the deluxe golfer boxed lunches; Firecode Safety Equipment, Inc. got the golfer contests started with the Putting Contest; Linda Collister of Healdsburg Fire Dept. was inches away from winning the $25,000 Hole in One that was sponsored by the CA Automatic Fire Alarm Association; many people were surprised when the Victaulic Company changed things up a bit and used marshmallows to test the Men's Longest Drive - we're not so sure the Sprinkler Fitters Association of CA knew that the marshmallows were also used for the Women's Longest Drive; TNT Fireworks and CAL SAFE sponsored the Closest-to-the-Pin contests; and Smoke Guard had a foursome contest for four lucky winners who answered some pretty tough questions about their company by visiting their website! Thank you to all of our sponsors and volunteers for making this tournament a success! More highlights are below.

A portion of the tournament proceeds will be donated to the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation (AARBF). Thank you Ed Dieden, Mike Gonzalez and Jon Johnston for attending!

Hole Sponsor Highlights
The Boldt Company had the ultimate golfer’s first aid kit along with essential munchies and beverages! The Boldt ladies were quick (and witty) to help out anyone in need...we think there was something in that lemonade.
It was great to see the different Glow Zone products available to us (which do not require electrical service) have now expanded. The newest products have many capabilities and are tested and listed by UL as compliant with UL924. We hear they handed out some pretty awesome gifts!
Gunter MFG/Vulcan Vents showed off their product that stops a fire cold when it comes up against a Vulcan Vent! They also had their own water supply on hand in case of an emergency.
International Fire Door Inspector Association (IFDIA) is the gateway for valuable information between Local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (LAHJ), building owners who need their fire doors inspected by qualified, vetted inspectors and fire door inspector members of the IFDIA. Ray and Garrett even had IFDIA labeled water!
Our other generous hole sponsors that deserve recognition are Active Safety, BlazeMaster Fire Sprinkler Systems, CA Fire Safety Advisory Council, and ConVault.
The Code Consortium, Inc., Technical Glass Products and Tiburon Volunteer Firefighters/Marin County FPOs were our spectacular Beverage Cart Sponsors. They were busy keeping everyone on the course hydrated. And contrary to popular belief, TGP’s Francie Harker-Bain didn’t keep all the beer for herself. We heard a rumour that the “bad brakes” on her beverage cart almost had her running over a patron or two – sorry!
Golfer Highlights
OMG – Thank the heavens that industry folks were playing in this tournament… while it was ProWest Constructors that led the pack with the low score, it was Amber Anderson’s group (Justin Beal, Ian Hardage and Robert Marshall) that had the high score! Industry folks were seriously the consistent golfers. Rocque Yballa said “The most amazing thing was the fact that no one was injured by one of Dan Najera’s off center drives… that’d be 17 of 18 drives.”

Cosco Fire Protection, Intertek and NFPA sponsored the Awards Reception in The Grove where the venue was a beautiful setting right in the middle of one of Northern California’s most beautiful courses. It was well attended and a great time was had by all.
Raffle Extravaganza (special thanks to Darren Drake, Eileen Goldstein, Mike Lantier, Larry Pasero, and Patrick Young)
Napa Fire Department and Napa County Fire Department really do it a notch above the rest when it comes to raffle prizes. Rick Terry, aka “Cool Hand Luke” was again a big winner in Napa winning the grand palooka prize…and yeah, he wasn’t even there to gloat!!!
>>Special thanks to Golf Committee member Roc Yballa for providing commentary for this section.<<
