President Arvin called the February 25, 2005 meeting to order at 0930 hours at the Yolo County Fliers Club in Woodland, California.
Past President Jim Luce led the pledge of allegiance.
President Arvin led a moment of silence in honor of Firefighter Mark McCormick from Santa Clara Fire Department who died in the line of duty.
Doug Bridewell of Napa Fire Department was appointed Sergeant of Arms.
President Wes Arvin welcomed the group and introduced Host Fire Marshal Ron Branigan who introduced and thanked the host staff from the Woodland Fire Department. Fire Marshal Branigan welcomed the membership to Woodland.
President Arvin recognized the visiting Fire Chiefs, Past Presidents and Building Officials.
Self-introductions were made. President Arvin asked Immediate Past President Mike Stewart to declare a quorum.
President Arvin asked for a motion to approve the January 2005 minutes. The motion was made and seconded.

SFM Report
OSFM Daniel Najera provided the membership with a February 2005 SFM Report. (See attached SFM Report)
Legislative Report (see the attached report)
Gene Gantt provided a February 2005 Legislative Report to the Membership. There are 178 bills being proposed to the California Legislature (See attached Legislative Report). He requested the committee co-chairs to review the proposed legislation, submit comments to him and support the legislation that is sponsored by the organization at hearings, etc.
Announcements
President Arvin announced that Vern Canon is the new Fire Investigation Committee co-chairs pending completion of the confirmation process.
President Arvin announced the Preserving Freedom AIA-ICC ’05 Fowler Ride in honor of the AIA-ICC Bob Fowler Memorial Scholarship Fund on September 24 and 25 at the ICC meeting in Detroit, Michigan.

Ray Bizal NFPA: Announced that 2002 NEC training is available at no charge to fire prevention officials. He also announced that the NFPA annual conference will be held in Las Vegas on June 6, 2005.
