President Larry Monette- City of Santa Clara Fire Dept. stated that he spoke with the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Office regarding the 10-year battery. This passed the Oregon legislature and was supported by the Oregon State Fire Marshal. Information indicated that some of the major homebuilder supply outlet stores sell the batteries for around $14.95.

John Gillilan-CAFA reminded folks that the 10 year battery excludes the photoelectric type detectors as the battery will not support the required power for the unit.

Anyone with information please contact him.
