  1. Central GBR Replacement Program
  1. Terri Leyton provided a detailed report on the replacement program of the Central GBR, GEM and Star sprinkler heads. Information available to local authorities includes, a web site, information binders and claim packets. Periodic reports are available to AHJ’s when zip codes are provided to Central Sprinkler Company.

III. New Business

  1. Myron Shenkiryk of Altran Corporation, provided a report on the services his company provides for evaluation and preventative cleaning systems for fire sprinkler piping. Discussion was held on the determination between normal corrosion and MIC.
  2. The Fire Equipment and Devices Committee met with the Fire Code Committee to discuss the proposed maintenance standard changes submitted in Part 2, California Building Code. Committee members are encouraged to visit the CSF web site at www.fire.ca.gov. in order to review the revisions to both the Fire and Building Codes
