Old Business:

The issue regarding which agency (local AHJ, State Fire Marshal’s Office, DOT) is responsible for regulating fixed hood & duct extinguishing systems in mobile kitchens (AKA-Roach Coach) was discussed. Jaymae will send a written request to James Parsegian of the State Fire Marshal’s office asking for clarification.

Randy Dysart (SFM Title 19/NFPA 25 Workgroup member) informed the group that the tags and forms for Title 19 are complete and they are now working to complete the Inspection Forms.

New Business:

Look for a new format for the minutes in the future. In addition to the Old/New Business format you will occasionally see a section called "Action Items". This section will detail items requiring follow- up prior to the next monthly meeting.

During a round table discussion Steve Hart indicated the following Editions of NFPA Standards are being "Recommended" for adoption: 2002 Edition of NFPA 13, 13D & 13R; 2002 Edition of NFPA 72; 2003 Edition of NFPA 14.

Randy Dysart posed the following question to the group "What does a Title 19, 5 Year tag on the riser tell you about the system"? The group had 13 different answers. We would like to have feedback from other jurisdictions as to their understanding of what a 5 year tag on a sprinkler system tells you about a system.

Respectfully Submitted,

Jaymae Wentker/Ed Tubbs-Co-chairs
