New Business:
Husoe – Great info and an education forum July 11th at Austin TX on a FEMA grant. Possible to have the same forum in CA. Sam will report back to the group after returning from TX.
Parsegian – NFPA 25 revisions for title 19 are at the administrative law office. Public comment ends august 7th. So far no negative comments have been received. Steve suggested positive feedback could be sent in.
Stanek – NFPA 13. Flex head did pass the floor at NFPA Conference and will be adopted soon. During a tenant improvement the heads can be relocated by anyone (2006 edition). This could become an issue for the NFPA Committee. Discussion ensued.
Hart – Title 25 AHJ’s and manufactured housing industry. On new installation at the factory the design, installation and inspection is performed at the factory. They are installed per NFPA requirements. The hydraulic calculations sheet is located at the water heater. More info soon at the Nor-Cal FPO website.
Hart – Gave an overview on the code amendment process.
Hart – Water purveyors. Were any AHJ’s having issues with water companies on water layout, meter or pie size and location? Info available at the website of AWWA.org, document M-31. M-14 Manual cross connect and backflow.
The committee invites anyone with an item of interest for the group to please attend our next committee group discussion on July 28th in Petaluma.
Respectfully submitted,
