TOPIC OF DISCUSSION

1. Bruce Leclair, NSFA education classes. October 21-23 @ Woodland. December – San Ramon. AB2288. Certification by smaller sprinkler contractors would be very difficult. This topic will be an agenda item for the June meeting with Terry Leyton requesting an opportunity to present information to the committee prior to our formal position being taken.

Bill Hopple, CAFAA. The So-Cal FED committee had discussion on this item at their May meeting. The bill writer is willing to accept amendments to the bill. The SFM is not involved with the bill on anything. CAFAA is not supporting the bill.

2. Discussion on the plan check guides for fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems, and standpipes. They are in need of updating and the North and South co-chairs will work together to get this done.
