a. The meeting scheduled in Sacramento on 10/23/01 was cancelled.
- CSFM Fire Alarm Committee
- This committee met on this date in Sacramento. The agenda items included preparation of a position paper on CBC requirements for 110VAC with battery backup smoke alarms for new R.3 Occupancies, E. Occupancy strobe requirements and an update on SFM fire alarm systems and inspections training manual, I-Occupancy patient room corridor lamp indicator smoke detector actuation.
- CSFM Fire Extinguisher Advisory Committee
- First meeting to be announced.
- Roundtable
- The committee reviewed the cut sheet information and inspected the drops provided by Forrest Craig.
- Ben Lehr discussed concerns regarding the disparity of elevator requirements among the various AHJ’s.
- Mark Hollan discussed an issue he is experiencing with the continued activation of a GEM 150-degree dry pendant head attached to a wet system, which is protecting a 2500 square foot freezer. He is working with Grinnell Fire Protection to resolve the issue.
- Jim Fled discussed problem with fire sprinkler installer failing to install sprinklers with the correct SIN numbers as per the approved plans. The committee recommends that plans be approved only with SIN numbers included in the plans. Verification of the SIN numbers can be achieved at the pipe inspections.
- Robert Evans reported concerns over the CSFM R.1 Occupancy handout. The handout failed to identify that the reduction in fire flow is only intended for an approved NFPA 13 system.
