UFC 2000 Overview

UFC 2000 Update

- February 28th 2002. $100.00 – Contra Costa Fire half-day course (8am –12pm) covers the significant changes between the 1997 UFC and the 2000 Uniform Fire Code. This class may be used to update your current UFC certification to the 2000 UFC.

2000 Uniform Fire Code PROCTORED EXAMINATION

- A four-hour proctored examination for certification. February 28^th, 2002. $100.00.- Contra Costa Fire

NFPA 13 Plan Review & Sprinkler Calculations, March 26^th & 27^th2002, Elks Club-Napa Fire. Two day workshop. One day committed to plan review, one day to calculations. Participants may attend one or both days. Cost $75.00. (See flyer in minutes or web page.)

The committee discussed the following items:

Dan Najera, OSFM, requested input into the scheduling and implementation of the New Title 19/24 class. Recommendation to keep class to 2 days if taught in sequence (ex. Mon/Tues) or if curriculum time frame is greater than 16 hours, teach class over three consecutive weekdays (ex. Mon/Mon/Mon)

UFC 2000 overview, update, Article 79, 80, 81 classes discussed with Contra Costa Fire Chief Larry Thude.

Please fill out the attached form and submit. In addition: please notify the Fire Service Education Committee of your area of expertise.
