UFC 2000 Overview – February 26^th and 27^th 2001. $150.00 – Contra Costa Fire

UFC 2000 Update-February 28th 2001. $100.00 – Contra Costa Fire half-day course (8am –12pm) covers the significant changes between the 1997 UFC and the 2000 Uniform Fire Code. This class may be used to update your current UFC certification to the 2000 UFC. (See flyer in minutes or web page.)

2000 Uniform Fire Code PROCTORED EXAMINATION - A four-hour proctored examination for certification. February 28^th, 2002. $100.00.- Contra Costa Fire (See flyer in minutes or web page.)

NFPA 13 Plan Review & Sprinkler Calculations , March 26^th & 27^th,Elks Club-Napa Fire. Two day workshop. One day committed to plan review, one day to calculations. Participants may attend one or both days. (Cost TBA- stay tuned for more details)

The committee discussed the following items:

Morgan Chan assumes role of Co-Chair for Fire Service Education, replacing Pete Munoa.

ICBO CLASSES : Discussed need for indicating or rating level of difficulty on flyer. Members would best be able to choose a class based on level of experience. Received feed back on instructors as well.

UFC 2000 overview, update, Article 79, 80, 81 classes discussed with Contra Costa Fire Chief Larry Thude.

Need for updated instructor information. All members please update your contact information to CFSTES training courses. Currently the State Fire Marshal’s instructor training list needs updating. Please fill out the attached form and submit. In addition: please notify the Fire Service Education Committee of your area of expertise. With approval, this list may be used to create special one day workshops. Please send this requested information to Novato Fire Insp. Bill Tyler at btyler@novatofire.org .
