NORTHERN CALIFORNIA FIRE PREVENTION OFFICER’S

General Discussion:

We discussed our budget proposal and reviewed our goals and objectives for the upcoming year. We decided to request the same budget items as we did last year and we also confirmed that our goals and objectives would remain the same as last year as most of these items are a work in progress.

We discussed Arson Awareness Week scheduled for May 7^th though the 13^th. We will work with the Public Education Committee to ensure the appropriate press releases are made and that the various governmental organizations officially recognize the week.

During the month, we worked with the Workshop Committee so that space could be provided for California Conference of Arson Investigators at vendor’s day during the upcoming Workshop. CCAI has a recently completed promotional DVD for their organization that they will be showing at the Workshop.

As previously noted, we really would like and need more participation in the committee. If you cannot participate in the committee and you have ideas that will further our efforts in fire investigation, please do not hesitate to contact either co-chair.
