The following topics were discussed at our monthly meeting:

Residential Sprinkler Ordinances - Where were we then, Where are we now

The 2000 fire sprinkler ordinance questionnaires should be sent out soon

NFPA 13D - is there a maximum structure size and should there be?

The need for better tracking of Residential sprinkler system activations

Is there a liability issue when FD installs sprinkler heads in a residential system after an activation?

Is the cost of sprinkler systems an issue with contractors and the public or is it uniformity in code that is an issue?

Requirements need to be consistent and available. Handouts would be helpful. The committee needs samples

The code process: IFC - UFC - NFPA

 IBC - CBC - CFC

Certification of Fire Prevention Bureaus’ staff members
