The Fire Code Committee met in combination with the Building Standards Committee. Topics discussed were:

a. The results of the California Building Standards hearings from earlier in the month.

b. The differences between the Sprinklers requirements (R-1) of the 97 UBC and the 2000 UFC.

c. Starting 8-1-2001, Gini Kripner will be heading the Regulations Division. J Guhl will be transferring to another department. Discussion of her staff and function. Discussions included the reliance on the Fire Code and Building Standards Committees for Back-up data.
