Alameda County General Membership Meeting
Attendeess:

Rocque Yballa, Central County Fire

Rocque discussed what happened in Orlando, how many of the code change positions were developed. Some were based upon technical expertise, others based upon our best guess as there was no subject matter expertise known or available. In all cases, the positions were agreed upon by both North and South committees.
Several potential code challenges for the Rochester meeting were discussed with recommendations to the Haz Mat committee on a few. See last month’s mid month meeting minutes for the list of the potential challenges.
F41, F42 will be followed up on by Rocque. Dan will follow up with the Alcohol-based hand sanitizers as F11, 12 Dan to talk to Rick Terry on Honey Ham?
Paul will follow up on F46, 52
Bill will follow up on F33
Assignees are to contact the proponents to see if a challenge will be submitted, to see if we can support it. This is another attempt to build bridges and establish ourselves as a player in the code development arena.
A discussion of the T19/Fire Code merger was had. We have set January as the start date of a serious development effort to further refine the business plan Rocque and Dan have begun to develop. The draft business plan will be sent out to the group for review.
NOTE TO ROCQUE: we need to include this in our budget for next year.
