Tom Horton distributed information from a web source on hydrogen fuel systems. The Worldwide Hydrogen Fueling Stations and The Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Letter. Tom relayed that a company Stuert Systems is on the front edge of hydrogen fuel systems. All sources of information will be brought together at the Mid-Month committee meeting for Hydrogen Fuels on February 15 at the Milpitas Fire Department on Main Street in Milpitas. Contact Paul Inouye, (408-586-3376) Milpitas Fire Department if you with to attend. The meeting will start at 10 am. Information for the 2nd draft of the Hydrogen Fuel Standard will be entered. Ron Keefer, Menlo Fire Department produced the first draft during the January 11th mid-month meeting. Committee members and those interested will review the draft and discuss the information at the February mid month meeting. Some of the items discussed at the January meeting, fire department emergency box for Ammonia Refrigeration Systems; Back up power for computer of Ammonia Refrigeration Systems and Dry Diffusion systems; Hydrogen Fuel systems parallel to CNG systems; Underground Systems for hydrogen fuels; and where these fuel systems could and could not be located, such as residential, day care or E Occupancies.
Chief Hugh Council, SFMO, would like to be in the loop as the Hydrogen Committee progresses. Progress reports along with drafts from the committee will be sent to the SFM office.
Kent Miller sat in on the R-Occupancy Guide discussion by the Building Standards Committee. The Guide is moving along and should be ready to take to Rancho Santa Barbara in March to be presented for review by SoCal.
