1. Kent Miller discussed a letter from Cal Chiefs asking opinions of Codes and Code Processes. Overwhelming consensus is that members want a Code that gives them personal input and that is regulator driven. Committee members believed that a "California Model Code System," would be an ideal system, giving them local input and accessibility.
2. The Hazardous Materials Committee will be further reviewing the proposed State legislations including AB 2141, SB 489 and AB 2481. All Bills, to date, are held in their Appropriations Committees. Full comments by committee members will be due by the June meeting. If you cannot attend the meeting, please e-mail your comments to Ron Keefer at (ronkeefer@menlofire.org).
