Items Discussed:

1. On November 23 at 0900 members of the committee will be meeting at San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District offices to work on the coorelationcorrelation of the WUI standards with the IBC.
2. The committee is still persuingpursuing the Fire Safe Inspector legislation. The committee co-chairs will be scheduling discussions with interested stakeholders in the near future. The committee also discussed the possibility of doing the Fire Safe Inspector at the 2007 Workshop.
3. The committee discussed the 2006/07 goals and objectives. The goals and objectives will include working closely with the SFM office to promote WUI education needs. The committee will be following its four points that it has been promoting over the past three years (legislation, regulations, education and implementation). The committee will remain focused on education and involvement in the Fire Hazard mapping. It is the intent of the committee to meet in the near future to address the committee goals and objectives in preparation for our budget proposal to the NorCal Board of Director.
4. Co-Chair Dargan discussed her recent presentation on the Firesafe Specialist Series to the State Board of Forestry. The presentation was well received.
5. The committee discussed upcoming conferences that are of interest to members. The WUI Summit is scheduled in January to be held in Riverside, the National Fire Safe Conference in Denver, CO
6. Committee also discussed the rotation of Committee Chair positions in 2006 and decided to transition to one or both new Co-Chairs by March 2006.
